It's a common problem, but we just don't realize we have it. It may even be happening right now. The problem is when we read, we skim. But when we take a moment to read, really read, we often can find more than we ever thought we could. In the Gospel of John, Jesus proclaims "I Am ..." twenty different times. Each time he makes the statement, he is revealing something revolutionary about his character.
In this message, we look in John 10 where He says, "I Am the Good Shepherd." This isn't just a pretty statement about house He thinks of those He loves, but it is a statement about how His love can transform those most marginalized and hated.
John Harry is the Associate Pastor and heads up the discipleship and care ministries at Church on the Rock. His work history includes serving as the Development and Public Relations Officer for Home of Grace, a Faith-based Recovery program located in South Mississippi, Interim Pastor of East Howard Baptist and an Addictions Counselor at the Home of Grace and PASCO (a transition facility located in Mobile, AL) . John has a heart for seeing people set free and teaching those same individuals to reach out to help others.
