We are proud of our beliefs…
JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man. He is the creator of everything. He came to earth, was conceived in the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. He died and rose again to reconcile all people to God and to free them from the power of sin and the devil. He will return someday, to judge the living and the dead, and finish the building of his Kingdom. All who are His bride shall reign with him. All who reject him shall suffer eternal destruction. (Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1; Colossians 1:16;Luke 1:26-38; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13)
GOD
We believe in the one triune God, externally existing, as revealed in the Bible: the Father; Jesus Christ, the Son; and the Holy Spirit. He is Creator, Redeemer, and the Sovereign Ruler of creation. (Genesis 1:1,26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1,2; 4:24; Acts 5:3,4; Romans 1:20; Ephesians 4:5-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit continually draws believers closer to God, transforms them into the image of Jesus Christ, so that they will live a life that is pleasing to God. He empowers them for ministry and distributes spiritual gifts to the Church. We believe there are many experiences that are valid encounters with God, the Holy Spirit. “Baptism with the Holy Spirit,” “Filled with the Holy Spirit,” are among those scriptural terms used to describe such encounters. These experiences should produce greater communication to God’s will, greater realization of His power, and greater edification of His church. (John 16:5-15; Romans 8:16, 23, 26, 27; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; Titus 2:1, 12-13; Galatians 5:22-23, Acts 2:38)
SALVATION
We believe all people are sinners and need to have a saving relationship with God. People are made children of God when they repent of their sin, place their trust in Jesus Christ, and commit their life to him. (Genesis 1:26,27; 3:1,24; Romans 3:25; 5:12-18; 1 John 1:8)
HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our standard for faith and practice. (II Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
ONE CHURCH
We believe the very nature and purpose of God is revealed in His Church. Though it has multitudes of diverse expressions, there is only one Universal Church of Jesus Christ. It consists of all who have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe the Church Universal consists of all who live under Jesus’ Lordship, while the Church Local is a body of believing people, baptized and joined together, practicing the new covenant. The primary purpose of the Church is to use every possible means to advance the Kingdom of God against the kingdom of Satan. (Romans 12:4-6; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Ephesians 2:19-22; 4:12-16; Hebrews 10:24-25)
BAPTISM & COMMUNION
We believe baptism and communion are two ordinances the Lord has given the Church. We believe that neither is necessary for salvation but both are outward expressions of an inner work and should be encouraged to all believers. Baptism is a proclamation to the world of Christ’s work in one’s life. Communion is the remembrance of the sacrifice and work accomplished by Jesus Christ on the cross. (Baptism: Acts 2:38-41; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:26-40; 10:47; 18:8; Romans 6:3-4. Communion: Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
PURPOSEFUL
Our passion drives us to incorporate drama, praise, worship, multi-media presentations, teaching, and the preaching of God’s Word that are intentionally designed to reach this generation and to connect them to a growing community of Christ-followers. We are committed to crossing all racial, social, economic, and denominational barriers acknowledging our diversities as open doors rather than walls. Our purpose is to become as far-reaching into our community as possible and to minister to as many lost, hurting, and broken people as God put into our grasp.
TITHES & OFFERINGS
We believe the Church should be supported by the tithes and offerings of those committed to its mission. We further believe that when people serve God with a free spirit, there is financial abundance to accomplish God’s purpose. (Genesis 14:17-20, Malachi 3:6-12 & II Corinthians 8:1-7)
